You can build your business – and your reputation – on the soljet XR-640's exceptional image quality, all the while offering the most popular and profitable applications that are simply out of your competition's reach.
Across the industry, Roland SolJet PRO series inkjets are renowned for quality engineering, reliable performance and unmatched versatility. Offering improved productivity, photorealistic imaging, integrated contour cutting and specialty inks for premium finishes and effects, the XR-640 transforms output into art.
ECO-SOL MAX2 is a new generation of Roland's award-winning eco-solvent ink, featuring outstanding long-term outdoor durability, scratch and chemical resistance, broad media support and a wide gamut – all with no nickel compounds. ECO-SOL MAX2 is engineered for stable, consistent output, and produces even colors with sharp images and text. These enhancements bring out every detail for the highest print quality.
The XR-640 offers a choice of seven or eight-colour printing. Choose from the following ink configurations, depending on your needs:
The SolJet Pro 4 XR-640 is equipped with the latest print head technology, featuring two 8-channel piezo inkjet heads with 180 nozzles per channel. The print heads are arranged in an inline formation and its unique design produces droplets of seven different sizes which captures the intricate details in your image. The result is high-density printing with vibrant colours, flawless photographic reproduction, smooth gradations and superb contrast.
The SolJet Pro 4 XR-640 streamlines the production process by automatically printing, and contour kiss / die cutting printed graphics all within the same device. By eliminating the need to reload and reposition graphics, this integrated printer/cutter saves valuable time and effort. And having both print and cut functionality in one system rather than separate devices will save space and investment cost. For cutting laminated graphics, the Quadralign™ four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for media skew and distortion. The Pro 4 can also be used as a stand-alone vinyl cutter.
Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology, developed by Roland software engineers, represents the pinnacle of inkjet printing. This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes and delivers unprecedented imaging performance in all resolutions. The technology actually enhances image quality at higher print speeds thereby increasing productivity. As a result, the XR-640 produces smooth gradations and flawless solid colours while achieving faster throughput with virtually no banding in all print modes.
Roland's new high-definition Eco-Sol Max 2 inks are specially designed to optimise image quality and colour on a wide range of coated and uncoated media. It’s suitable for the production of an extensive range of popular and profitable indoor and outdoor applications, offering super fast drying time, wide colour gamut, rugged scratch resistance and low cost per square metre.
Eco-Sol Max 2 comes in CMYK+Lc+Lm+Lk+Mt+W ink available in 440cc “clean hands” cartridges (Metallic Silver and White in 220cc only). Eco-Sol Max 2 graphics are water and UV resistant up to three years outdoors* without lamination and are also nickel-free for a healthier work environment.
Combined with variable droplet technology, Roland Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks deliver more brilliant colour with superb detail in the highlights and smoother blends and transitions overall.
*Outdoor durability is based on accelerated weather tests. Results may vary depending upon location and application. Dry times vary depending on specific media characteristics. Lamination may be required for some applications or environmental conditions.
